I’m getting an error “ActiveX component can’t create object” when the command “set MyDoc = server.CreateObject(“foiadmin.clsLabels”)” is executed.

I looked the error up in google which led me to check the browscap.ini file to make sure for I.E. 6.0 the activeX and vbscript parameters are set to True. I also checked the registry to make sure the dll’s were in the correct directory.

Can you think of another solution or have you heard of this before? Let me know if you have any suggestions.

I am not an expert, but aren't ActiveX controls always with the .ocx extension?
They do API calls to the .dll

If you don't have the .ocx, I suspect you can't create the control.

This error usually means that your active X component is not installed and/or properly registered with the Operating system. Check to make sure that it exsists on the target computer. You may also have to register it manually, with Regsvr32.

Take Care,
