Hi All

When logging out of Avaya admin I get the following:

Busied out resource detected; verify if release is needed!

I have checked hardware errors and get the following list of errors but am unsure of what to do about the results brought back.

Could anybody explain what the errors are in terms of severity and how to go about resolving them?

Cheers

run the following command

"test board 01A14 sh cl"

Do the same for 01A13 and post the results.

Test 1383 , means the ethernet cable is not connected.

If you are adament that it is and you see the link light on, then do the following command

"test board 01A14 lo cl" and post the results.

The test might take a while as it's a long test, but it's not service affecting.

Also do a "release board 01A14", someone might have busied this board out.

In fact do this before you run the long test.

Let me know how you get on.

Is the release board service affecting? I presume not but just want to check..

Just want to build up my understanding but how might someone busy a board out?

As you noticed, when you log out you get: -

Busied out resource detected; verify if release is needed!

Something has been busied out, but equally it might be just a phone that's busied out.

Releasing the board isn't service affecting. If it's busied out it's already out of service. If it's not already busied out then it can't be released and you'll see ABORT on the screen for each port that the system tries to release.

Check your cabling and make sure the ethernet cable is fine. On the front of the board there is an LED that says LINK, is this on (Green colour). Do these checks first before running the tests.

Let me know.
