Hi,

I have a 2008 that I need to activate. I don't know what the TN is otherwise, I'd be all set. I also don't have any phone testing equipment. Is there a way to find out what the TN is? Or is there another way to program the phone?

Ed

no without a tone, or at least a jack number your out of luck. you can list luvu but that will just show you vacant tn's, the switch has no record of the jumper field

That's what I was afraid of. Thanks for the quick answer!

Do you know the DN of the 2008?? If so print the DNB to get the TNB in LD 20.

Unfortunately, I don't know the DN. The DN that's on the label isn't activated.

When you say a the DN isn't activated, do you mean when you do a
LD 20
REQ PRT
TYPE DNB
DN xxxx (DN on phone label)

It doesn't prt anything?

It prints NO ACT SINCE NO DATE. When I pick up the phone there's nothing. When I call the DN it says release and try again.

Then your going to have to do it the old fashion way.
You can look to see if the jack has a number on it and trace it to the IDF an then trace it to the MDF and that should give you the TN. Or use a toner and tracer.

Short the jack out,Then stat system for disable TNS on the switch..

the tn will be disu in the switch without a short, if it's programed, a short will not be seen by the switch if it's not. you could do a ldis in load 32 to see if it's just disabled. if the lights flash one time when you plug it in, then it is on a tn, if it flashes forever your on a analog tn of line..
