I have a sequence of 8 action queries that make, populate, and update different tables.

My question is whether it is more efficient to call the action queries in VBA or to just put the SQL statements in the code instead?

Thanks

Hi

I believe (but I cannot remember where I read/heard this) that Jet optimises queries saved as querydefs, hence executing a saved query should be faster.

A side issue perhaps, who uses you app, can users 'see' the database window, if yes, aere they likely to 'play' with your queries, if yes, maybe hiding them in code is best, at least users cannot break them!
