How you get the relation between two colums in a table

The first is a combo box the second is a regular list

I'm not sure that I understand your questions. But I can give a quick overview of combo boxes and hope it helps.

You can link a combo box directly to a query, directly to a table, or put together some SQL for the combo box - all of this is done in the RecordSource property of the combo box or clicking the "..." off to the side.

What you do there will determine how many columns you want, but you will still need to tell the computer. Further down you have two important fields. Number of columns and bound column. Number of columns is self explanatory. Bound column tells Access which column will have the record you want it to work with the first column to the left is 1, second is 2 (and so on . . . ).

A feature you'll likely also want to use is column width, play with it a little and you will get the hang of it.

I could get a lot more in depth but it quickly turns into combo box vs list box and moves into the realm of VBA.

I hope this helps, if not can you explain it a bit better? I'll try to do what I can. Brambojr
