how can i view the contents placed in mailbox offline. as whtever i keep shows me when connected online.
i also did created offline file and did something in settings to show the during offline, but still couldnt get it.
we have exchange 2000 and OL2002.
thanks

Tools=>Send/Receive Settings=>Define Send/Receive Groups

click "Edit" and check all the folders you want to include

click "OK"

check "Perform automatic Send/Receive when exiting"

click "OK"

Don't know OL2002, but in OL2000, set up Offline Folder capability from within the Exchange service in Outlook:

1) Tools, Services, Microsoft Exchange service, Properties
2) Click on the Advanced Tab and check the box for "Enable Offline Use"
3) OK, OK
4) Back in Outlook, go to Tools, Options
5) Select the Mail Services tab and make sure the following are checked off:
Enable Offline, When online synchronize..., When online automatically synchronize...
6) Click on Offline Folder Settings and select all the "folders" that you want to sync
7) OK
8) Back in Outlook: Tools, Synchronize, All Folders -- first time you do this could take a while....
9) Pull your network cable at work and re-launch Outlook and test it out...should work just fine

HI
Thanks for the reply. But as i said i did created the offline file and i did all the instructions you mentioned.
But still when i disconnect the network cable, i cant see the mails i keep in the MAILBOX.
i can see in the personal folder. But i need to see wht i kept in mailbox.
More comments are appreciated.
Thanks

Do you see it synchronizing before you log off of Exchange (Outlook)? This is set by one of the options I mentioned above, but you can also do it manually:
Outlook: Tools, Synchronize, All Folders

What happens when you do this? Also, check the synch logs -- these are kept in the Deleted Items folder, I believe....

Hello:
I did all the things required for working offline folders, but still no luck.
now the thing is when i transfer a mail from my personal folder to the inbox of mailbox, it stays there for a while and then when i view it after 5 mins, its gone...

More comments are appreciated.
