accpac proseries 6.5 - backlink to prodata.dbc

hey everyone,
i am having a problem in proseries 6.5. when trying to clear flags on some companies, i get an error on some saying that it cannot create a back link to the database container prodata. when i try to either locate or delete the link for the prodata database container, it tells me that i must have exclusive use. does anyone know how to get exclusive use of this database container from within accpac? please help. thanks.
