Found a couple of old questions on this, but no answers!

Office 406 v2

We use TAPI dialling from a custom database. I am investigating using account codes to better track call costs, etc.

Is there a way to send a tapi dial string containg a short code that sets the account number AND teh phone number to dial? The Set Account Number funstion just gives the user a new dial tone, which will not work properly for a TAPI dial, and as short codes only have one replacement variable 'N' I cannot think how else to do it.

Any suggestions, or have you managed this before?

PS it's 16:20 on a friday here, so if there are responses later today, I wont see them until monday - I'm not ignoring you!

I would say a call logger would better suit your needs, you get a raw log for free using Delta server then you can tweak with excel for easier viewing..... Not sure if I'm entirely happy helping a Telesales company though :)

Very funny :p

I do use the logs extensively - the issue we have is that a person could work of 5 or 6 different campaigns during a day (we tend to work smaller, more specialist stuff rather than huge mass telemarketing).

Out database logs the number of calls made for that client, but if the SMDR had an account code, I could tie the two up together, hence the investigation. However, for speed and accuracy our guys only ever dial using a tapi dialler on the contact screen - not the handset - so the sample in the help files does not work.
