Is there a setting or a way to configure PMP to automatically log you into your voicemail by double-clicking on the icon under messages without having to enter your extension and password?

We have several mailboxes to check and this would make it a whoile lot easier.

Regards
Mike

in the useres Source Numbers Add V<Extn>
this will alow access to the mailbox from the specified extn
for group mailboxes you need to be a member of the group.

Might also depend on the voicemail mode. If it VMPro set to Intuity emulation, need to customise either the Default Collect start point or the user specific Collect start point. In either just link it to the GetMail action.

Thanks for the input. We are using ipoffice and I added the V<ext> to the source numbers tab but that still didn't work. I tried it first with just the extension of the phone, for example V928. After merging configs, I then went to PMP and double-clicked this voicemail icon under messages and it still asked for the ext. and password. Any ideas?

Thanks

Customize the start points my boy and feel the force. You can do it Luke.

I'm not much of a star wars fan. I'm just a user of the system trying to get it to work the way we would like.

And I'm just a tech trying to help without writing a whole manual for you.

As I said previously, if your voicmail system is a Voicemail Pro running in Intuity emualtion mode, you can get round the which mailbox/password request by adding a custom callflow.

Truthfully I don't know if it works for PMP but it works perfectly for the Messages button on Avaya phones, so worth a try.

Well my young one, feel for you I do - no appreciating Star Wars is so sad. Meantime its early enough on a Monday morning that no one has distracted me yet, so I can test things.

The trick of customizing the Voicemail Pro start point does work for mailbox access from Phone Manager.

So, in the Voicemail Pro client, open the Default Start Points and then click on Collect. In the right-hand panel add a Get Mail action. No need to adjust its settings. Save and make live.

The above will affect all users, so you may need to do it under a custom start point for those individual users who want it. Or in the GetMail action, add a $ to the Pin field so user still have to enter their mailbox passcode (this can't be overridden by V number entries).
