Accessing SP List Data Through SP Web Services 1

Why use a webservice? If its the same machine you can just look up the list data by using the object model, and ofcourse a custom webpart.

Well Sharepoint webparts can make use of the Sharepoint objectmodel, use the example i gave you as an entry point.
To start with webparts i suggest you download the Sharepoint SDK, and read up on the programming tasks. It can be found here:
