Hi All.

Running under IAS9i, I am looking for a way to authenticate against an iPlanet ldap directory.
The answers I got from Oracle`s support were that it is not supported and I must use OID.
BUT I am sure that there is a way.
Can anyone give me some information about this issue?

Thanks.

iplanet is supported and Oracle should have pointed you at the Oracle Internet Directory administrators guide especially chapter 34 Synchronization with iPlanet Directory
Server.

I don't think you can authenticate directly against the iplanet LDAP but you can synchronise OID and iplanet so the 2 match. Hope that helps a little!
