Accessing Exchange Server Global Address Book

I am trying to retrieve information from Exchange Server Global Address book for a user like phone, first name, lastname, alias.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

I've also tried to look into this. I havent got very far, but what I've heard is that its really Active Directory that you want to query and not exchange server.

I've looked into this myself and I think its Active Directory you want to query not Exchange.

What you want to do is query Active Directory, if you're on a version of exchange that's greater than 5.5.
