We're moving from 4610's to 9620's.

On the 4610 I have three 'menu-items' to deal with dialling from the directory.
First key is 'directory' to search, second is 'call-disp' to call the found number and third is next to select the next found number.

How do you configure this to be workable on a 9620 ?

I noticed that if I use the same setup as on the 4610, I have to scroll two lines past 'directory' to display the above mentioned thre lines, then scroll two lines back up to activate 'directory' to be able to use it.

I have the IDLEFEATURES softkeys programmed for call-pickup, send-calls and EC500 so I've got one spare....

Any ideas ?

Personally I put Directory, Next, Call Display and Redial in the IDLEFEATURES... You can bury the other buttons.

SET IDLEFEATURES "1000,26,13,16"

Or setup LDAP so they press the A-Menu key to access the LDAP directory. I don't find it as intuitive as the phones directory button, but it's an option.

Thanks,

good tip 98Convert, you also have to have "Directory, Next, Call-Disp" setup as 3 of the buttons some where on the 96XX phone, or the softkey's won't display in idle.

Thanks 98Converter and Mitch672 - I'll program the keys but leave it up to the users (Ugh!) to decide what they want on the idlefeatures....
