We are currently in the process of replacing our legacy Aspect ACD with Avaya CM & am seeking a bit of guidance re accessing the Voice System remotely. Specifically around listening to & recording announcements over the PSTN.

On the legacy Aspect system this would be easy but on the new Avaya CM platform I am assuming I need to build a Vector - training on as yet I have not recived.

I am assuming the way to do it is to collect some digits (eg the Announcement number) that I can input via DTMF & then call those collected digits within the Vector? I can visualise what I want to do within the Aspect world but I need someone who can translate it into the world of Avaya!

I would be grateful if anyone would share there thoughts and a Vector perhaps?

Thanks in advance!

You can assign a ddi , to the remote access extn , change remote-access , in there you provide the remote access extension number set
security features (pin , amount of attempts COR , etc)

Then you ring the ddi associated with the extn , enter the barrier code and are presented with system dial tone from there either dial the announcement number to listen , or the feature access code to record new announcements.

You could build a vector setting a pin and collect digits etc , but if you are yet to be trained on vectors this is the easy method.

ACSS (SME)
ACIS (UC)

One x into your station then call the announcement extension.
