I am interested in a MSAccess97 db that caters for Human Resources...etc.

Unsure whether this is the appropriate medium but if anyone can assist with freeware/shareware solutions without re-inventing the wheel that would be great.

TIA

I don't know of any. I would suggest googling to see what you can find. Also, go to groups.google.com and see what you can find there. You'll have to experiment some with what to search on, but I'm sure there are some resources out there.

That said, I would guess that the odds of finding a database to run your HR department without having to heavily modify it are quite small. There are huge database systems out there that could do it, if you wanted to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars. There may be cheaper databases that will work out of the box. But you may end up having to pay someone to develop such a database. Because I'm making this suggestion in a site that is explicity non-commercial, I will explicitly take myself out of the running for this gig (I've got too much work right now anyway <G>). But an HR department is probably a pretty complicated beast, and I wouldn't expect to find anything for free that works for you without doing some serious work on it.

Thanks for your reply...yes I am aware of the complexities involved. I do have an HR db however the relationship setup is not allowing us to delete old records..

Perhaps I could remove affecting relationships DELETE records then apply relationships again...

Thought it would be easier to start again hence my request.

I have 'inherited' the db from a prev developer who is no longer with us. Your comments welcome.
TIA
