I recently installed Access 2003 and now I need to create a run-time application just like I did in Access 2000. The deployment wizard is not listed as an add-in to install, is it called something else in Access 2003? I can't find any refernce to it in the help files or Mircosoft Knowledge base (except to trouble shoot problems after one is created)

Any thoughts on where to go to get the add-in I need and what it is now called?

The access 2003 developper tools are available to MSDN subscribers only

Hope This Helps, PH.

You must have bought the Developer Edition of Office2000, which included the developer tools.

There is no Office2003 developer edition. So you probably have the Professional Edition.

To get the developer tools for Office 2003 you have to buy the 'Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for the Microsoft Office System' which includes the run-time stuff for Access2003.

You do not have to subscribe to MSDN; not that I would want to discourage you from doing so.

Thanks, we do havea subscription, so I'll get my network guy to find me the appropriate software. I knew it was just a matter of knowing what to ask for! Sometimes the help files are so unhelpful!

I feel like a total idiot here, but I installed the tools but cannot find where to access the package wizard from within Access 2003. Any ideas? It doesn't show up as an add-in I can load. Knowledgebase shows me what the wizard form looks like, but no information at all on where to get it from. Nor does the readme file help. Am I just blind? Or crazy? (That last is a rhetorical question, please do not answer.)

On my box I follow these steps:
Startup menu
All programs ->
Microsoft Office ->
Microsoft Office Access 2003 Developper Extensions->
Package Wizard

Hope This Helps, PH.

PHV, you are a lifesaver! Thanks. I kept trying to find it from within Access as it was in previous editions.
