Access to .PDF works great but Sendkeys is stopping

I have cutePDF writer installed. I do a
Me.Refresh
DoCmd.OpenReport "Customer", acViewPreview, , "Key = " & Me.Key
SendKeys "%FPcute{ENTER}"

It goes to a "Save As" prompt but I cannot go any further with SendKey. I guess it's because Access has lost focus?? I would like to enter a filename and then eventually run the .PDF and E-mail...thanks for all your help here.

Not familiar with cutePDF writer , but I have done similar things with otehr pdf software, is the way to go not to (in code) switch the default printer to be the pdf writer, run the report, switch the default printer back again?

You may be able to manipulate the settings within cutePDF writer from the VBA code via registry or some such, you certainly can do this with the pdf writers I have seen

forget Sendkeys, it is not reliable

I'm having the same issues with CutePDF. I can set the filesave name in the registry but cannot suppress the print dialog box. Did you ever find a solution?
