I have w2k domain server and exchange 2000 server in this domain, everything works fine except one thing, that is access to mailbox from outlook on workstation, which is not in domain, i can access anything from domain resources, with valid domain user and correct password, but outlook doesnt work with it. It keeps saying that pwd wrong. I would really appreciate any help.

Create local user account on workstation that matches username/password on server, when local user fires up outlook the authentication will pass through, and you won't get prompted for username/password

You're using integrated authentication. Did you set basic authentication on your OWA server?

well, it works with that identical local account.

did you mean OWA - outlook web access? This is disabled, i tried both windows integrated and basic authentication for this mailbox but no success

If you're using the fat client, you're using integrated authentication, and the workstation is not a domain member, then you need to set outlook to prompt for credentials.

The OWA equivalent is to use basic authentication.
