Good Morning All,

This may be particular to users in the NYC metro area, but may be not -- Nevertheless, i'm having an issue dialing out to 311. The system doesn't seem to allow this or the call just does not get routed.

However , 911 does work. I'm sure there is a command that i would need to execute to get 311 to work. Unforutunately, i'm a newbie to avaya programming..

I am running an Avaya S8500 Media Server with Communication Manager 2.0.

Thanks,

Do a list ars route-chosen 311 and see what it reports. This will tell you what route it tries to take. If it has a number that starts with a p then look at the partition group table for what route pattern your partition group is using. Look at the route pattern and make changes as needed.

I'm on the West Coast and not familiar with '311' but if you need it to work just like 911 does you can.

(a) display ars anal 911 make a note of the route pattern then
(b) change ars anal 311

Using page two, set up parameters similar to the 911 entries.

Thanks for the answers gentleman. Specifcally, fonetech, as your precise commands assisted me in solving the problem.

Problem resolved.

Thanks...
