Access Standalone Database

Does anyone know if there is a way to compile or create a database in Access and deliver it to a use in an .exe file. So that the user does not have MS Access on his machine but can run the database program.

Access can't be compile into an EXE. You would need to program in another language such as Visual Basic to create an EXE.

Depending on your version of Access there are various MS products (cost extra) that allow you to "package and deploy" your Access mdb, mde, adp, or ade to a computer that does not have Access installed.

There is a stripped down version you can install on users machines that allow them to run Access apps but not create them.

It is called Access Runtime and is free. Check the Microsoft site for how to get and install the Runtime.

Is there a way to time stamp a record in a database so that when the user enters data in a field on a form the database keeps a permanent record of the time and date.
