Access Security?!

I need some help with Access 2000 and setting up security. I am a total novice with Access at this point and setting up security has not been easy, and does not seem to do anything.

I have created a database which will be on a server for a few employees to view. This was not how i wanted to set it up, but the higher ups have decreed that i should do so.

Anyways, Right now, i have 3 users who should access, and they are set up with the proper rights(i think). But it seems that anyone can still do anything to the database.

What am i doin wrong? Does anyone know of a good security tutorial on the web that could help me?
