I have created an Access database in Access 2002 using Access 2K format. I followed the instructions given in the "FAQ About Microsoft Access Security for Microsoft Access versions 2.0 through 2000", Wonderful document. When I run the wizard and it creates a shortcut to the workgroup file everything works great on my system or a system configured the same. When I try and create a shortcut for a system running Access 2K this is when I start getting the problem. I keep getting an error message stating that it cannot find the Workgroup file and it gives a path. The path and the name of the file are correct but I still cannot get it to open the database in secured mode. There are no problems when the database is unsecured. Has anybody run into this problem before and found a solution.

I have tried using to command line switches both to no avail see below for the command line switches.

Example #1
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\MSACCESS.EXE" /WRKGRP "\\Bluex5\diamond\DIAMOND CONFIGURATION\REQUIREMENTS\REQUIREMENTS DATABASE\Database\DIAMOND Requirements Workgroup.mdw”

Example #2
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\MSACCESS.EXE" "\\Bluex5\diamond\DIAMOND CONFIGURATION\REQUIREMENTS\REQUIREMENTS DATABASE\Database\DIAMOND Requirements.mdb" /WRKGRP "\\Bluex5\diamond\DIAMOND CONFIGURATION\REQUIREMENTS\REQUIREMENTS DATABASE\Database\DIAMOND Requirements Workgroup.mdw”

There's nothing wrong with the way you formatted these. Can you post what is in the target parameter of the shortcut created by the wizard?

What happens if you paste your path informatin into the address field at the top of a windows explorer window (cut out the file portion). Do you get to those directories?
