I have created a package to install my Access 2000 runtime application, but I am having problems on one computer. When I run the setup program, it displays the message "Copying files, please stand by - Processing MSVBVM60.DLL 7/7". After this message it tells me that "Setup cannot continue...." because my files are out of date & that I need to restart windows before I can continue. I restart Windows & run setup again - it does exactly the same thing - over and over again.

This computer has Win 2k Prof. installed and has had office 2k premium installed previously. I removed the office programs with the add/remove program utility & ran the microsoft tool eraser2000 to be sure all of the registry entries have been deleted. It still does the same thing. This setup program has worked without any problems on other machines with Windows 98 installed.

Any ideas?

As a follow-up, I rebooted the PC in question in Win 98se mode & the installer worked perfectly. Is there a problem installing access 2k runtime on win 2k? Is is a registry key formatting problem?

Any help would be appreciated.

Never mind....I found an article on the Microsoft support site, which suggested applying Windows 2000 SP2. Here is the solution for anyone else with the same problem:

You know, solving the problem wasn't that bad -- figuring out HOW to best search for some of these solutions is the difficult part.
