I'll put you on my holiday gift list if you can help me determine how to call DID to a termination on the G3r11 which will enable me to access the paging code and make a page remotely.
This is system features:

And finally,my paging info:
Voice Paging Timeout (sec): 600
Code Calling Playing Cycles:

Voice Paging Code Calling
Zone Port TAC COR TN TAC COR TN Location:
1: 01C1301 501 6 1 1 PAGING
2: 03A1301 502 6 1 1 PAGING
3: 04A1301 503 6 1 1 PAGING
4: 01C1302 504 6 1

Thank you!!

Create a VDN that matches a DID number.
Create a vector that routes to digits 501, 502, 503, or 504, your Paging access codes.
I've done this before and it works.

I must be missing something. I'll keep playing, but my vector runs me to a busy. Your thoughts?

You could also use remote access. (command "ch rem")

*** REMOTE ACCESS CAN BE DANGEROUS *** since it allows access to dialtone on your switch, but you can alleviate some of these concerns by not using a DID, assigning appropriate COR/COS, and by also using a 5 digit or greater barrier code.

Here's how it works:

- User calls remote access extension
- Definity beeps at the caller then gives dial tone, which is the prompt for the "barrier code", or password.
- User enters their barrier code, and then they get a switch dial tone, which can be used as if you were internal.
- Punch in your paging code and away you go.

Note on the remote access page you can also set an expiration date for the code, and the number of calls allowed per code. The switch will also log how many calls have been used since the code was set up.

I have used this successfully when we had to shut the company down after hours and notify the factory floor who do not typically have access to email.
