I have a database that currently has multiple levels of security. Some usernames have more priveledges than others. The database is on one computer where different users enter data. If I want to analyze the data at home, I have to de-secure the database before I can open it up. Then I have to redo the whole wizard again if I want to secure the updated database. Is there an easier way to work on a secure database on a separate computer?

If you are copying the db to take home and work on it, you also need to copy the security file (.mdw) for that db.

I copy all the files, but however when I try to open the database, it says I don't have permission to open the file. I believe it says this because it recognizes that it isn't in the same location as when the secure file was created in the wizard. Is this the case, and if so, how can I go around this?

join (or re-join, if you like) the copied workgroup. It is, of course (or at least usually) in a different location. 'Joining' it in the new location should be sufficient.
