Can I make a logon that saves the user that is currently using the database, it should not be through the windows user, but access should starts up whit a loginform, and then save the ID of the person that is logged in, that information is something that I want to use for Identifikations later, so I have to be able to refer to it later.

Hope that there are some one that can help, or tell me where i can get som help f.eks. a "How to"

If you need users to be individually identified, you probably need true security. I recommend using Access' built-in user level security wizard to secure your database. You can then use the CurrentUser() function to get the user ID any time you need it.

One consequence of securing a database this way is that it changes the process the user uses to start the database. You'll have to decide on one of several possible ways, and you'll probably have to train your users. So be sure to read the documentation on user-level security. Also, check the FAQs here in the forum. Rick Sprague
