Access Link to Outlook Calendar

Happy New Year,

I am currently using an Access DB to keep track of quoting activity. I would like to see if I can create a link from Access to Outlook that will post a message on a specific date to follow up with a phone call, visit, etc. If I can make this task seamless thru Office it would save a lot of time for all of my employees. Can these programs communicate with each other and do this task?
