I have used Access for about five years. Now I ran into a problem I never met before.
Here is the problem. Both Access 2000 database A and B worked fine and were located in C drive. After I imported a module (form or standard module) into database A from database B, I got error message "Error accessing file. Network connection may have been lost." when I tried to open a form in database A. And I cannot open certain imported modules in VBE. I coould not dismiss the error message and it finally crashed the database.
In another case, database A worked fine after the importing. However, after database A was compacted and repaired, or simply closed, the problem came up.
I think it is definitely a problem of VBA code in Access 2000, not a problem of Jet engine. This is a serious problem to me since I might kill a good database simple because I import a form/report.

Any idea?

Thanks in advance.

Now I became more serious. I reinstalled Access. But the problem came up even after I made a copy of a form in the same database.

It seems that Access does not allow me to re-use any code.

Deja Vu - I had exactly this same problem but it was on a laptop. It started with importing a form but after I thought I had it fixed, I would copy it to another and the problem repeated. I did some additional research on the message and it said VBA was corrupt. I moved this same exact database to my desktop and never had a problem! I have copied it, imported to it, exported from it and no problems at all. Oh, and the same thing happened with a powerpoint presentation. I have since had the office suite on my laptop removed and reinstalled with office xp.

This is not really any kind of an answer for you but I thought you might feel better knowing that someone else had the same problem and it isn't anything specific you did. I don't know what is wrong either but sometimes you will just never know!
