Access Hunt Group Voicemail with Short Code 1

Hello All,

I have a customer running R9.1 on an IPO 500V2, on embedded voicemail.

For whatever reason, they are using Nortel Phones.

I need to create a Short Code that I can Assign to a Button, that when pressed it takes them directly to the Hunt Group Voicemail.

The short code I tried and that is not working is:

Code: *27
Feature: Voicemail Collect
Telephone Number: "?Agent General" (Agent General is the Hunt Group Name)

This is acting exactly the same as *17 asking for the Mailbox Number and Password.

Suggestions?

Try using just the Hunt Group Name in the telephone number field - without the leading ?

Voicemail Collect

Connects to the voicemail server. The telephone number must indicate the name of the Voicemail box to be accessed, eg. "?Extn201" or "#Extn201". The ? indicates "collect Voicemail" and the # indicates "deposit Voicemail". This action is not supported by voicemail using Intuity emulation mode.

shouldn't it be "?"Agent General instead of "?Agent General" in the short code?

Under the user's source number did you make an entry for HAgent General or H200 (or whatever the hunt group extension is)? You need that to be a trusted source for checking voicemail.

The "H" is for new messages notification, the "V" is for trusted number.
The "V" works only if Voicemail is setup for IP Office mode.
The questioneers system is running Intuity mode and that is the reason it does not work.
