I am trying to set up a database over a network using Access for forms and SQL Server 2000 for the tables.

The optimum situation would have my users logon to their machine access everything off of the server - Forms Tables Queries etc..

Is there anyway that I can store the Forms that I create in SQL 2000 or on the server itself and have my users simply "login" to a specific form??

The effect that I am looking for is something similar to using ASP pages on the web (but only with access not on the web).

Is there anyway to do this??

Thanks

Adam

You could create a table that defines everything you need to know about the user (i.e. FullName, CurrentUser name, phone, office location, computer name, etc.). Another field you would add to the table is the name of the form that should be displayed when the user opens the database.

Then, at startup, open the table and find the record that contains the CurrentUser name. Then open the form defined in the record. Note that if the CurrentUser name does not yet exist in the table, then pop up a form and have the user register (i.e. fill in the the info you need).
