Hi,

Pls. help urgently.
I am creating a module to keep my different types of report of a contract in the systematic way in my Server fully secured.

Note:
1. The folder which is in my server(Win-2k) is not shared.
2. User1: Rights to upload the file in this server and view.
3. User2: Only view the file thro' program .
Thanks

Use standard W2K security to set rights for User1.
Set up dummy account and logon as dummy account in your program for User2

But only after sharing the folder you can allocate the rights accordingly.

I don't want to share the folder.

1. How with the help of DSN, we are accessing the SQL database which is in the server. We are not sharing the folder of MSQL folder. But we are accessing the db file with the help of service agent.

2. WinVNC Software : - If I am installing the this software in server as well as client, then my server can install, create, modify the files in my client system thro' this software.

Sameway, I want to create a module in VB6 which will allow me to access only a folder from a specified path and see the word document.

Thanks
