I am using the INET control with VB 6.0 under Windows XP Pro. When I access my FTP server which is on our LAN, and try to GET a file to my local C: drive, I get an "Access Denied" error on my local C: drive. This also happens when I open a DOS window and use the FTP utility to log into the server. Unless I issue and "lcd C:\temp" command first, I get an "Access Denied" error when I try to "GET" a file. Any suggestions on how to work around this problem? Thanks!

sounds like you have permission issues. Are you on a corporate network which enforses security? Are you admin of your machine?

Do you have XP SP2 installed? You may need to bypass the firewall.
