Access Classes - what type

I have attended a class at the comm college on Access. I definitely did not go into the type of detail that I find on this forum. I have also taken a class at JMU on Database design.

Can anyone recommend what type of classes I should look for so that I can use code and other options in Access. I thought I had a handle on Access, but the replys here just scare me. :~(

The biggest help for me was a one week class I took on VBA. It didn't teach me everything I needed to know, but it gave me a basic understanding of the language. That class and what I have learned here have been the biggest helps to me.

Glad to see your post here. If you can, find an advanced Access class to take. If not, take an into Visual Basic class. But probably the best bet is to get a couple of good books. The one you'll eventually want is the Access [version number] Developer's Handbook. But if the answers here intimidate you, you might want to start with something else and work up to that. Maybe the Access Bible or something similar.

One of the things to keep in mind is that very little of this comes naturally to anyone. It's about learning to do logic puzzles. Some people learn to do this at a young age and can just transfer that to programing. Some people have to learn it at the same time they learn programming. But you can learn it, and you will, if you stick with it and remember to quiet that intimidation.
