Hello,
I have been writing access databases for a while, however I have not worked with a calendar accept the datetime picker as a dropdown. I have made a custom monthly calendar and it is very basic at this point. I looks and feels just like i want but I am lacking in the ability to make it as functional as I would like it.
Two things I want to do:
1)How do I populate the (Monthly)calendar with?:
A) text from a table For that specific date (and/or)
B) Place markers in the daybox to let me know that there is 1 or more events for a specific date.
C) Load holidays into the calendar where these days are also a different color.

2)Help with (Procedure)DblClick on a day and go to the desired form (Meetings,Appointments,etc...) for a specific event or perhaps a specific contact. I am not sure how to write the Function.

Thanks to all,
whill1

Use the calender function in the toolbox. Just click ..more.. to see it in a list. It is pretty self explanitory. If you need more help, just ask.

Thanks Rolliee,
I must rephrase alittle, the calendar that i have is at the same point as when you drop the activeX calendar onto a form. I guess what I need is pointers on developing the procedures for desired functionality.
After reading your post I created a new form and tried the calender control. I was at the same place, looking at a functional calendar and did not know what to do with it.
Ok, say I have the calendar control on a form how do I do with it, what I wrote in my origonal post??
Thanks for your quick reply and I hope this helps clarify the question.
Sincerely,
Wendell

I started to answer this and remembered that

Thanks again Rollie,
I saw that one before I posted but the link doesn't work. I will try later (page not found).
Thanks,
Wendell

Wendall,

Sorry about the misunderstanding. The calender has four events. I use the LostFocus event. Let me give you one way to use it. With the calender and a cmd button on the form and a textbox named text0 you could put the followinng in the cmd's click event.

msgbox me.calendar0

When you press the command button the date selected with show in the Message Box. This should give you and idea of how to use. There are as many ways as you can think of.
