I've heard of a patch that will enable a access database to run with out access '97. I.e it will create a exe type file of the database that you created and run that way.

Does anyone know anything about this??

Thanks Radman

Hi radman,

i'll be cheeky and say C++ or VB,

but i'd also be interested if its distributable as opposed to having clients buy 97.or worse buying the runtime version!

:)

Get the "Microsoft Office 97 Developer's Toolkit". It contains the setup wizard which gives you the liscence to distribute the run-time version of Access with your database.

I've got it (I bought it on ebay for $53), and it works great.
