Can you make one report, using the information from two seperate reports?

Senerio: Report 1 = Machine - Unit# - Counter - Date (for previous month)

Report 2 = Machine - Unit# - Counter - Date (for current month)

On report 3 I want to take the Max counter per machine, per unit and subtract it from the Max counter per machine per unit from the previous month.

This report is coming from one table (created before my time) and is not normalized.

I am not very savy at VB or macros.

Thanks

You shouldn't need VBA or macros.

Open the report(s) in design view. Find out which query they're based on--they can't both be based on tables and provide different data, so they must have queries as their source, not tables...

More than likely, you can just copy one of those queries to a new name, go into design view, and then delete the criteria that's in the date column(s). Save the query.

Make a copy of your report and rename it. Go to the properties of the report. Change the source to the new query you made. Save it, close it, run it.

:)

I tried your suggestion. I even made a new query. When making a new report I get the following message.

You have chosen fields from record sources which the wizard can't connect. YUou may have chosen fields from a table and from a query based on that table. If so, try choosing fields from only the table or only the query.

I got it!! ;-) Thanks for your input. I took your advice on the queries. I actually rewrote them both and then made the report. My error was in trying to pull the Press # and Unit from both queries instead of just one and specifying the join relationship.

Thanks so much for your help.
