Hello Everyone,

I have installed Office 2007 on a server we run as a Citrix server in a production environment. We also have a program called Shipping Solutions Professional version 7.22 installed on the same server. This application uses the 2002 Access runtime file. It seems that when this application is launched, it leaves Office 2007 in an unconfigured state so that when a user logs on and launches Access 2007, he/she must go through the "Configuring Microsoft Office" set up screen, which takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. The next time the user tries to run Shipping Solutions, he/she is confronted with a "Configuring Access 2002 runtime" set up screen. This only takes several minutes, but starts the whole cycle again. Has anyone experienced any similar behavior. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Assuming that your app is an Access app (with an ADE, MDE or MDB extension).

Try creating a shortcut of your app on the desktop by creating a command line that includes the full file path of Access 2007 and the full file path of your app

Code:
"<file path to MSACCESS.EXE>" "<file path to app ADE/MDE/MDB" /runtime

Basically, if you have more than one version of Access installed on the same machine, you need to call each Access file using the fully qualified path to the appropriate version of MSACCESS.EXE (which is the actual filename for the full and runtime version of Access).
