Access 2003 security settings?

We just upgraded to 2003. Each time an Access database is opened, we get

This file may not be safe if it contains code that was intended to harm your computer.
Do you want to open this file or cancel the operation?

I tried creating a new database with only one table, one column (plus the primary key) and no data. Same thing.

Running the Security Wizard provides WAY too much security, from what my limited experience can tell. All I want is to be able to open the database and work in it without having to answer the stupid question each and every time.

Any help?

Once the database is open, go to:

- tools
- security
- user and group permissions

Make sure everything is checked in there...

I think we have to narrow it down to either being a software issue or operating system issue.

Go to Tools, Customize, and Reset. This will allow you to set the Macro security level to Low.

You sure that is going to work? I dunno, but he can try. I only thought that, that worked in Excel.

Thanks! That worked.

I was able to open up other Access databases, so obviously it resides locally and not with the database. I’m assuming we’ll have to do that with other computers as well.
