Access 2003 crashes on database open

If I open Access without a database, it launches and stays open. If I open a database (either by double-clicking or by browsing through Access), it launches, then crashes about 2 seconds later. The error is:
"Faulting application msaccess.exe, version 11.0.5614.0,
stamp 3f3c8e3c..."

I upgraded from Office XP about a week ago and have no problems since then. No other software or updates were applied since the upgrade. Yesterday, I attempted to edit one of my databases at home and began to get this message.

It happens under my account, the admin account, and any other account on the PC.

Also, these databases open just fine on another PC in the house that had the same upgrade at the same time.

Anyone have any possible suggestions??

No one has experienced this at all? Kinda strange. No clues from anyone?

I got he same error>Faulting application msaccess.exe version 11.0.5614.0 stamp etc...>I think the reason is>>"This database has been converted from a prior version of Microsoft Access by using the DAO CompactDatabase method instead of the Convert Database command on the tools menu" etc..Backup your access before you do anything. Tell me if you figure it out, but I think you just have to convert the database, I think.

Well, it's been a while since anyone posted on this thread, but I finally stumbled across it, and I think I might be able to help.

I came across an MS KB article that discussed an error message referencing the msaccess.exe when you open a database file. Here's the link.

I'm not really an access expert, but when I read your thread, I knew that I had seen something similar to that before. So I hope this helps.

I had actually tried that before. Didn't work. I had some other small issues with minor corruption and I think it was time for a fresh start (I do it every 6 months or so).

I think my problem started because I put my pagefile on my 2nd hard drive, which began to generate error messages from SMART. I think something it was the source of my woes.

All's well now though!
