We have recently upgraded to Access 2002 from Access 97. I developed several databases with user level security, which users would access through shortcuts specifying the database's (MDB) path and the path to the database's specific security file (MDW). It was locked down under 97 so that if you tried to open the database without joining the specific workgroup first you would not be able to access any tables, forms, etc.
Now that we have XP I am unable to restore that setting. All user permissions are in tact in the MDW file, but now when you just double-click on the MDB file (opening it as Admin in the default MDW) the user is given complete access to view, modify, etc. I have tried removing all permissions from the Admin account to no avail.
Can someone pleae help?
