It was so easy in Access 97. Well, a little convoluted, but it worked as expected.
But I am going nuts in Access 2000 trying to use the User-Level Security Wizard. I'm following the instructions exactly, but...
When I open my newly secured database and start tinkering with the groups and permissions using the regular interface (not the wizard), things are screwed up. I always end up not being able to change the permissions or owner for Forms or Reports, even when logged in as a member of the Admins Group. And things that I do set seem to, well...get messed up.
Is this a big old BUG, or is there some trick I am missing?
This has been doing this to me on two different computers, and multiple trials.
Anybody been able to work this successfully?
Kevin
