I originally created a form with 2 subforms in Access 97.After converting to 2000, when I am in one of the subforms, make a modification, then try to close the main form, I get the message "You can't save this record at this time.Microsoft Access may have encountered an error while trying to save a record.,If you close this object now, the data changes you made will be lost.Do you want to close the database object anyway y/n". After clicking ok, the changes DO get saved. If I press escape first, I do not get the error message.Am I going to have to recreate the forms in 2000 to enable the LinkChild/LinkMaster properties to get rid of this bug?

Have you tried just restablishing the parent child link?  If that fails, try just reinserting your subform.  Might work...

Thanks for your response, but I already tried the obvious.  Maybe this is how 2000 operates!

I've had this happen to me.&nbsp;&nbsp; In my case, I had several combo boxes on the form.&nbsp;&nbsp; When I didn't make a selection in the combo box, I got this message.&nbsp;&nbsp;I tried switching to option groups and still got the same message.&nbsp;&nbsp;Though I'm afraid I can't tell you how to resolve it--that's something I haven't figured out yet.<br><br> <p>Linda Adams<br><a href=mailto:Garridon@aol.com>Garridon@aol.com</a><br><a href= Adams Online</a><br>I'm a professional writer, published internationally.

I had several databases in 97 which I converted over to 2000 without any problems. All the subforms are working fine without any modifications. Are you sure it's not something in your data that's changed? <p>Sandeep Anand<br><a href=mailto:sandeep@matatechnologies.com>sandeep@matatechnologies.com</a><br><a href= Technologies</a><br>visit
