I am using a database that has a form & sub form updating two tables. The main form holds the customer data, with the sub form haolding contact details ie) date of last contact, Subject and notes.

What I am trying to achieve is to design a report that will have a mixture of both forms on a single A4 sheet per customer. I know how to do the report and force page to go to the next customer starting on a new sheet, what I am having trouble with is the notes section as it has multi lines as each contact notes typed in has a new line in the table.

So the contact details are ok static on the report, I want the contact history for say the last 6 calls to be listed in date order on the report asell.

I know I am asking a tall order but can anyone help [sig][/sig]

I'm no expert, but maybe a subreport? I don't understand the multiple lines problem. More details would be helpful! [sig][/sig]

What I want to produce on the second part of the report is

Date Subject Notes
01/08/00 Telephone Call Rang X discussed xyz
25/09/00 Telephone Call Spoke to Mr Smith. Arranged visit for X

the information above is help in a table that is updated from a sub form with in the main form to a separate table.

The overall report will start with the following brought from 1 form and then the above will come out on the same form.

Name
Comapny Name
Address
Telephone Number

etc.............. [sig][/sig]

Ok, it sounds like you just need to make a subreport. There is a nice little wizard that will do it for you. As long as you have the two tables, the customer one and the call log one are related in some way. I hope that helps, if not, tell me more. [sig][/sig]
