Hi all,
I have a machine with Win98. At start up it displays and "Accessibility error" Unable to load enable2.vxd" does antone know how I can rid myself of thiserror?
Appretiate any help.
Thanks,
Paul

The enable2.vxd file is either corrupt or missing, and you have some of the Accessibility Options enabled.

If you're using any of the Accessibility Options(sticky keys, etc.) and you have the Win 98 installation CD, then you can replace the enable2.vxd file as follows:
-Open System File Checker in System Information/Tools
-Check 'Extract one file...'
-Type enable2.vxd in the box
-Click Start
-Type X:\Win98 in the 'Restore From' box(where X is your CD-ROM drive's letter)
-Type C:\Windows\System in the 'Save File In' box
-Insert the Win 98 CD
-Click OK
-Close the Win 98 Setup window if it opens
The enable2.vxd file will be replaced if it's missing.
If it's corrupt and you're asked if you want to overwrite it, then click Yes.

If you're not using any of the Accessibility Options, then click on the Accessibility Options applet in Control Panel, and uncheck the boxes for all of the options.

Just a quick note to add....
You can get to SysFileChecker.....by typing SFC in the Start>Run box......
