Im getting this message once a day. I tried to follow the steps on Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 312862 and still gives me the error.
I have two domain controller that I used as the root for DFS which replicates with one another, and I also have two file server that has the links for the DFS files. The first file server has the replicated files and the second file server has the original files. The machine that generates this warning is the second file server
Following the Article 312862 on MS knowledge base, I used ADSIedit to copy the DN path of the NTDS Settings. Not sure if I copied the wrong path that is why it is not resolving this issue. What I did was I run ADSIedit on the first domain controller (1 DC) and copied the path under
CN=NTDS Settings, CN=Computer name, CN=Sites, CN=Configuration, DC=Root domain of forest, DC=COM
I pasted this to my second domain controller (2 DC), since this has the same path with my (1 DC) I just changed the computer name. I also did this to my (2 DC) so basically I just flipped flopped the two DC’s DN path. Now when I reboot the second file server that is generating the warning error, it will give me a 13562 warning polling error coming from my (1 DC), but when I rebooted it again it will give me a 13562 warning polling error coming from my (2 DC); and it keeps going and going every time you reboot it will just flip flop from the two Domain Controllers.
Does anyone know what path should I copy ? and which machine should I run this to ? Also, I have been to a lot of links about this warning error and none of them seems to help me. My question is, if I just ignore this warning error will this create a big problem in the future ? Or is there another way to tackle this issue ?
Please Help …… Thanks in Advance...
