i always get the abnormal program terminatin error whenever i start visual c++, and then an illegal operation will occur. i've already changed my OS from windows me to 98se. please help me! thanks!

Have you applied the latest Service Pack (5)? It might help you. If you're in the mood for changing OS again can I recommend that you install NT 4 or 2K, IMHO they are much better platforms for development.
