I have a server with multiple NICs installed. One is a direct link to another server, to allow them to mirror each other. The other is to the general LAN.

I am attempting to make sure that the appropriate traffic uses the appropriate NIC.

From a workstation, I should be using the LAN NIC. I am able to browse to the server but I am unable to ping it.

From the server, I am unable to ping any workstation.

Obviously NETBIOS is working but TCP/IP isn't properly.

Any clues?

Your not using the same subnet on both Nics are you ?

If you cannot ping I am not convinced you have a proper network.

Disconnect the mirror LAN does it work then ?

[blue]Arguably the best cat skinner around ! [/blue]

Cheers
Scott
