Hey everyone!

Ive got a question relating to adding numbers to abbreviated dialing enhanced lists. Forgive my knowledge for being limited but im just starting out in the Avaya world. We have users who dial *11 ### (usually 621 or 635, etc) and then it rings a cell phone. Problem is i cant seem to find where that list is to change cell phones and add new ones. From my own digging ive found that in our feature-access-codes *11 dials abbreviated dialing list 1 which is set to enhanced 1 on the station in question. So i guess my question comes down to how do i change enhanced abbreviated dialing list 1?

Thank you in advance for all replies!

When i try that command i get a "Identifier command word(s) omitted: please press HELP"

Upon pressing help it says enter dial code first digits: (3 dgt) 0-9, (4 dgt) 00-99 ['list' 1-2]

change abbreviated-dialing enhanced list x y (change abbreviated-dialing enhanced list 1 0)

x is for list number
y is for which dial code to start from

"Trying is the first step to failure..." - Homer

I have tried "change abbreviated-dialing enhanced 1" which gives me "1 Identifier not assigned"

And "change abbreviated-dialing enhanced list 1" which gives me "Identifier command words omitted"

Thanks so much for your help so far!

ok so my command syntex was correct but now we need to figure out what enhanced list they are using

display abbreviated-dialing enhanced and start at 1 and go from there, if you really are using enhanced list 1 then it should come up, maybe it is not an enhanced list but a system or group list

So this is whats odd. I did the steps you showed in the copied text and created for myself so now i dial *11 100 and it rings my cell. Since the other users dial *11 615 i SHOULD be able to do the change abbreviated-dialing enhanced list 1 615 and see it but it says thats not a valid identifier. Is there something wrong with my logic?

cha abb enh li 1 6
cha abb enh li 1 61

dial length of 3 digits would use 6
dial length of 4 digits would use 61

Thats is! I thought you would have had to enter the entire number not just the leading digit. Thank you AvayaTier3 and smokinjoe2938 for your help on this one!
