I am trying to program a button to transfer a call to audix.
In my abbreviated dialcode I have 4507~p~p~p~p1003# where 4507 is the transfer number to audix and 1003 is the extension. It is not working. It rings but audix is not picking up. I can't program the telephone set. We are G3I v11, with an old Definity Audix. Thanks. Rick

Is 4507 your Transfer to Voice Mail Access Code? You can see this on 'disp feat' page 3 or 4.

When a call covers to another extension and they want to transfer back to original voicemail without ringing phone again, they would hit transfer and then the "Transfer to Voice Mail Access Code".

Is this what you're referring to?

Thanks,
CJH

I'd also try ~w, ~W, and ~P. I dont recall which one does what, but they all have different functions. seemed like the ~w was to wait until the call was answered.

Isn't there a FAC to transfer to audix? I'd assume a V11 would have that funtionality.

Yes, we do have a FAC (#8) for Transfer to Audix Access Code.
I guess with our upgrade I didn't notice. Anyway, if I put in the #8 in abbrev-dialing, will that put it in the original users mailbox? The call covers to one secretary and then another, I want the button to transfer to the boss' audix, just by hitting transfer and then the button, for both secretary's. So is it #8 ~w 1003# or just #8?
Thanks.

Just found out that although #8 is our Transfer to Audix FAC, it does not work. We have a very old Definity Audix that has not been upgraded. Don't know if that is why #8 does not work. Rick

I'm not sure how many coverage points the tta fac will work with. I don't believe the version of Audix is that important.

But the secretary would answer the call and then press transfer #8 and she should here the boss' greeting then she hits transfer again.

Thanks
CJH

98 converter has you in the right direction. In order to use the #8 feature the call must first follow a coverage path and ring at someone's phone. Then the person answering the call hits tranfer #8 transfer and that calls goes directly back to that persons voicemail.

Yo mikey, you're still around. Here's the scoop. Our audix
is not linked to our switch, so that's why the #8 does not and will not work. Our only transfer to audix is by dialing 4507 and then putting in the person's extension followed by the pound sign. So I guess I'll be pounding sand as I continue with 4507 ~w or whatever 1003#, which is still not working. Thanks for the responses.

Yep. I am still here Rickster. Without that link, it is going to make it a little more difficult. Sorry we couldn't come up with something that could help. Some autodial buttons with your audix number would take one of those steps out though..

Rickster1,
Have you tried "Goto-Cover"?

Hey Doug,

Do you work with Ian Robinson @ Cygnal?

Doug:

I put in goto-cover. I'll try it on Monday. The last destination in the coverage path is the sup's audix. We have 2 secretaries that I want this to work for. Cover goes from one to the other then to sup's audix. Think it will work?
