Took over a network.
The previous guy had setup automatic software installations using GPOs.
Unfortuneately the server that all the software had resided on has gone.
Can I directly edit the .aas files which specify the softwares location and put in the new server, or do I have to recreate the GPO and go through all the hassles of software reinstalling itself on all current systems.

Thanks

Sorry - I'm not aware of any :(

AAS files are one of my least favorite things about GPO software installation.

If this is something that would cost a LOT of money to replace/fix, you could try calling MSFT. A GPO expert might be able to import them into a policy somehow.

why cant you just open the policy and change the package location?? if i recall correctly it was configurable, but this is something i could be mistaken on as it has been about 3 mos. since i looked at that specific thing
